An Owl in Time Differences

Sleeping at night time seems to be normal human behavior, but could be very different from an animals’. For example: owls are used to hunting and being active at night time, but if they have got ‘Jet lag’ , they might start nodding off and falling asleep at night time. ‘Jet lag’ is the failure of the body to change from its own routine, rhythmic behavior pattern, a kind of body time pattern response to creatures moving to an alien place.

This work consists of a dialog between the artist and an owl. A series of paradoxes involving time and space lead into a state of contradiction where different cultural histories and different species can never be made parallel.

Imaginary boundaries range from national borders to the boundaries between categories established by human civilizations. These visible and invisible boundaries have the power both to include and expel. For ecological conservation: Indeed, live on this land. These concepts and methods have created intangible territories with many complex boundaries!
